Responsibilities
As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing care and comfort to patients, including:
- Supplying and emptying bedpans.
- Monitoring patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Serving meal trays and assisting with feeding.
- Weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients.
- Delivering messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments.
- Maintaining cleanliness by making beds and tidying patient rooms.
- Supervising patients’ exercise routines.
- Administering suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas.
- Keeping an inventory of medical supplies.
- Bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
- Transporting patients in wheelchairs, stretchers, or between care facilities.
- Responding to call signals to address patients’ needs.
- Collecting specimens for medical analysis.
- Preparing patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
- Administering first aid in emergency situations.
- Requirements
Languages: Bilingual (English and another language) - Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience.
