Requirements
- Languages: English proficiency is required.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Work Site Environment: Services for the homeless.
Work settings include:
- Community agencies.
- Women’s shelters.
- Social service or charity agencies.
- Shelters for the homeless.
- Associations and non-profit organizations.
Responsibilities
- Administrative and office activities.
- Housekeeping and ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Food preparation for clients and staff.
Credentials
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Food Safety Certificate.
Experience and Specialization
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in electronic mail and MS Office.
- Area of Work Experience: Community service organizations.
