Responsibilities
- Serve meal trays and assist patients with feeding
- Assist with patient mobility by weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms, including bed making
- Administer personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients
- Administer medical procedures such as suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
- Transport patients safely in wheelchairs or stretchers
- Respond to call signals and address patient needs
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: College, CEGEP, or a non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
- Work Setting: Nursing home or home for the aged
