An opportunity has opened in the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on the Elm A/HASU team for a motivated Health Care Assistant. As part of the team specializing in acute stroke care and neuro-rehabilitation, you will assist nurses and healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care. This role involves supporting patients in personal care, feeding, hydration, and ensuring their comfort.
The Elm A/HASU department includes a 10-bed hyper-acute stroke unit and a 33-bed stroke/neuro-rehabilitation unit, offering a supportive and compassionate environment praised by patients and their families. Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with high-quality patient care, including personal care and patient comfort.
- Aid in feeding and hydration of patients.
- Contribute to housekeeping, stock replenishment, and equipment maintenance on the ward.
- Record patient status accurately and report to the team.
- Work under the supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.
