Job Overview
SE Health in North York is seeking a compassionate Health Care Aide to support patients with daily living activities and provide essential care in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling medical equipment
- Help with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
- Perform patient comfort and care duties
- Supply and empty bed pans
- Serve meals and feed patients
- Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
- Transport messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
- Make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
- Supervise patient exercise routines
- Bathe, dress, and groom patients
- Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher
- Administer first aid in emergencies
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: College/CEGEP
- Experience: Experience is an asset
- Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
