In this role, you’ll provide hands-on assistance to patients, focusing on personal care and daily living support. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on patients’ lives and is committed to delivering high-quality care. Strong communication skills and a caring attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and serving according to dietary requirements
- Record patient care details accurately and report health changes to the nursing team
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support collaborative care
- Drive patients to appointments and social activities as needed
- Contribute to developing and implementing personalized care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous healthcare experience is beneficial but not required (training provided)
- Strong English communication skills for effective patient and colleague interactions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication
- Preferred: A valid driving license for patient transportation; familiarity with home care or care home environments
- A caring, empathetic nature and commitment to helping others are essential
