Key Accountabilities
As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities include:
- Operating the packing line in compliance with operational, food safety, and health standards.
- Performing warehouse and production duties, including forklift truck operations.
- Managing carousel bagged flour production while adhering to quality systems and standards.
- Reporting equipment breakdowns and faults to engineers promptly.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of quality and integrity paperwork.
- Utilizing WMS for accurate stock control, order picking, and loading.
- Monitoring and recording in-process CCPs (Critical Control Points) to maintain standards.
- Conducting food and health safety checks and reporting issues as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the packing and warehouse areas through a “clean-as-you-go” approach.
- Safely loading pallets onto vehicles using mechanical handling equipment and forklifts.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will:
- Have strong customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Hold a forklift license (desirable but not essential).
- Be computer literate.
- Possess an understanding of food production processes (advantageous).
- Demonstrate an interest in running packing equipment to meet production targets, averaging 300 bags per hour.
Skills and Knowledge Needed
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including stock control and order picking.
- Competence in operating packing lines and mechanical handling equipment.
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and quality systems.
- Effective time management and attention to detail.
