TOR Properties is seeking a dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team at Chateau Three Hills, a vibrant and supportive retirement residence located in the community of Three Hills, Alberta. If you’re passionate about senior care and making a difference, this is the role for you!
As a Health Care Aide, you will deliver exceptional personal care services to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You’ll provide assistance with medication, personal care, and engage in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life. Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift (6:45 AM – 4:15 PM) with an 8-week rotation and 2 weekends per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
- Assist with medication administration as outlined in residents’ care plans.
- Participate in recreational and social programs tailored to residents’ needs.
- Respond to emergency calls from residents and take appropriate action.
- Report critical incidents or unusual occurrences to management.
- Assist residents with personal laundry, meal support, and companionship.
- Document resident care and interactions per organizational guidelines.
- Contribute to resident service planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Health Care Aide Certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent training.
- 3 years of practical work experience are preferred.
- First Aid Certification and Medication Assistance Program (MAP) Training are required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of senior care philosophy and practices.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver care with minimal supervision.
