Responsibilities:
- Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Operate lighter, special-purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods
- Obtain special permits and documents for international routes
- Drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Perform brake adjustments
- Carry out emergency roadside repairs
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo info, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo (including tarping)
- Transport and handle dangerous goods

Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer trucks, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
