Position Summary : The Production Supervisor is pivotal in managing manufacturing operations, requiring a committed individual with exceptional leadership skills to ensure efficient production processes and uphold high-quality standards.
This role involves coordinating team members on the production line during shifts and ensuring the availability of production resources (packaging or manufacturing materials and personnel) as directed by the Department Manager.
Hours of Work :
- Straight Days and some weekends (as needed during peak seasons / warm weather months)
- 7am-3pm / 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities :
Resource Availability :
- Optimize daily production factors (material, method, labor force, and machinery) and provide necessary information to the Production Manager for single / double shift management.
- Oversee all production phases within the assigned area (Packaging) and manage inventory within the area of responsibility.
Production Planning / Shift Hand Over :
- Assist in planning operating activities on the production lines.
Support the Local Planning Department and Team Leaders with in-process quantity adjustments. - Supervise changeover activities in collaboration with the Quality Department and Packaging Component Providers.
- Complete all shift handover tasks, aiding Team Leaders in communicating key information and issues.
- Collect and update data from Team Leaders for the Daily Production Sheet (Volumes, Hours, and Bonuses).
Continuous Improvement :
- Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the UGP Manager and SSP Function to develop and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Workplace Safety :
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations within the assigned production area.
Complete health & safety incident / accident reporting.
Human Resources Management :
- Manage personnel issues according to company guidelines, informing the UGP Manager and HR as needed.
- Handle line accidents (first aid, accident reporting, investigation) with support from the Team Leader, following company guidelines.
Maintenance :
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to minimize line disruption during breakdowns and repairs.
- Assist in implementing and adhering to the Environmental Management System within key process areas.
Qualifications : The ideal candidate will possess :
- Knowledge of production lines, machinery, and production performance indicators.
Mechanical aptitude. - Experience in stock management, production models, and planning techniques.
Knowledge of production performance analysis methods. - Familiarity with Food Safety, Quality, and Sanitation policies and procedures.
- Understanding of production KPIs.
- Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to lead production employees proactively and positively.

- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (Team Leader, Supervisor / Manager) in a manufacturing setting.
