Role Purpose
The Warehouse Assistant will provide essential support for live events and exhibitions within the NEC, ensuring smooth transportation, maintenance, and management of goods. Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining equipment, stock-taking, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
About the Role
Warehouse Assistants will gain specialized skills to maintain equipment compliant with LOLER and PUWER standards. They must understand safety procedures and demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Maintain, prepare, and transport equipment across the site.
- Work independently when required and contribute positively to team efforts.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly adhered to while handling goods and equipment.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with transportation, preparation, and setup of equipment.
- Support Goods In/Out processes.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform manual handling tasks safely.
Must-Have Skills
- Full Driving Licence (essential).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems (advantageous).
- Manual handling capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Forklift Truck IPAF training.
- Forklift Licence.
Requirements
