The Work You Will Do
- Client Care: Deliver personal care services as per care plans, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Homemaking Services: Perform housekeeping tasks like cleaning, cooking, laundry, and organizing the household.
- Companionship: Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
- Client Well-being: Ensure clients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort, prioritizing their safety.
- Observations & Reporting: Document and report any changes in client conditions to your supervisor.
- Infection Control: Adhere to Bayshore’s infection prevention protocols, including PPE usage and COVID-19 screenings.
Work Environment

Qualifications
- Required Certification: Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate.
- Preferred: Ownership of a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license for community visits.
- Background Check: Clear Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience: Foreign-trained nurses, second-year RPN students, and third-year RN students are encouraged to apply.
Education & Certification
- Completion of a formal, accredited caregiver training program or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Ongoing training provided through Bayshore’s internal or external educational programs.
